Appearance: Kimi is a rather short girl, slim with pretty much no curves anywhere. She has firm muscles from all of her physical activity and scars from all the tumbles she's taken over the years. She has brown eyes that tilt up at the ends, a round face with an upturned nose, and a dark complexion, which she got from her father. Her hair is a deep, bluish-black styled into a short undercut. She has several piercings in each ear, as well as a septum piercing in her nose, and a tongue piercing. She has a tattoo of the Triforce from the Legend of Zelda video game franchise between her shoulder-blades. All piercings and tattoos were obtained from talented friends without the permission of her parents. She carries herself confidently, usually with a grin on her face and her skateboard tucked under one arm. She usually wears comfortable clothes, such as jeans and tank-tops, and always layers a hoodie on top.

Personality: Kimi is a rebel at heart. She loves doing things she's not supposed to just for the thrill of it, and can have a somewhat bad attitude at times. Mostly though, she's very softhearted and caring. She's helpful to her friends, determined in everything she does, and a very friendly, happy person. She enjoys music, loves video games, and likes to hang out with other people. She gets lonely easily, and is unused to even sleeping alone because she's shared a room with her younger brother for as long as she can remember. She gets homesick easily as well, so going away from home for school was not an easy decision for her. Her favorite music genre is punk and her favorite movie genre is musical-theater (though if anyone asks, she says it's horror).

Background: Long before Kimi was born, her mother was a high-powered Japanese business woman, while her father was a struggling musician living in New York, New York. They met while she was on a business trip and fell in love not long after. She moved to America to live with him, transferring to manage a New York based branch of her company. The two lived in a house a few miles outside the city, where they began a family of two: Kimi and her brother, three years her junior. Her straight-laced mother mother and doting father created a sheltered, conservative environment during her early childhood. Then, during a walk one day at ten years old, she saw a group of teenage skateboarders and begged her father for a board for her birthday. After discovering her natural ability for the sport, she began devoting all her time to it. With more freedom away from her parents, she began to develop a new sense of self, resulting in the girl that she is today. A few months ago, her mother was offered a fantastic job back in Japan, and the family uprooted itself to make the transfer. This is when Kimi was discovered by the school.
